Playground Camp

Playground Camp has been around for many years. This year they are happy to be located at Schuylkill Elementary school. Each day is filled with games, crafts, activities and playground time. The campers are separated into groups according to their age and move through each activity lead by their counselors. Our counselors are your neighborhood kids, school athletes, National Honor Society members, high school and college age students. Many of our current counselors were once campers and enjoy coming back to keep the summer camp experience going. We also schedule fun field trips and special events at camp…Zoo on wheels, swimming days, a day at the movies, and last summer we even got a behind the scenes tour at Citizens Bank Park on game day! These trips often carry small monetary fees to cover admission and transportation.

Playground camp has two options: a half day program from 9am-12:30pm and an extended day program from 9am-3pm. Kids bring their own snack & lunch each day. Cost is $300 for half day and $450 for the full day, paid in full at time of registration and we do register for the entire 6 weeks. This camp is ideal for families who may not require full day care but who want to keep their kids active and seeing friends each day during the summer break. Registration opens Monday March 4th online at Phoenixville.org under the Parks and Recreation tab. That’s where you will find all of our Spring and Summer youth programs…not just Playground Camp, but all of our sports, science and specialty camps held throughout Phoenixville. You can also register in person, with a check at the Civic Center on Main St. Camp tends to sell out, so plan on registering early!
