Phoenixville Rotary Spelling Bee

The Phoenixville Rotary Club's 7th annual spelling bee event that’ll be occurring on Saturday, February 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Phoenixville Area Middle School’s auditorium. This signature event has an educational purpose. It’ll attract over 250 students first through fifth grades from Phoenixville area schools – both public and private – who’ll compete for prizes to be the best spellers in four different grade-related divisions.

The event also has a fundraising purpose as well. Through admission fees for adults and sponsorship's from local individuals and businesses, this event will provide funds that the Phoenixville Rotary club will use to help support its charitable endeavors throughout the community.

The admission fee is $5.00 for adults who are 18 and over. Children are FREE. There’ll be snacks and beverages for sale for attendees and Candy Grams sold in the lobby of the auditorium for congratulatory gifts for spelling bee participants.

To date, our annual Rotary club spelling bee event has raised over $49,000 since it began 7 years ago. All this money has gone back to support local, non-profit, charitable organizations that provide valuable services for our Phoenixville area citizens. Our goal this year is to add to this total with another $15,000.

So, if you’d like to get involved and support this combined educational and fundraising event, you can do it in either or both of two ways: You can come out and attend the event for $5.00 or you can be an individual or business supporter at a level that you feel is appropriate for you: *Division Sponsor - $400 *Platinum Sponsor - $300 *Gold Sponsor - $175 *Silver Sponsor - $100 *Bronze Sponsor - $75
