Chrissy Houlahan Watch Party
Last night was a momentous occasion for women in politics.
Never before in American history have women held more than 84 of the 435 seats in the House of representatives, but today, 96 women in total now occupy seats.
Campaigners really put a lot of extra work into this year’s midterm elections, as a record-breaking turnout of over 110 Million came out to vote.
In Pennsylvania, along with Susan Wild, Chrissy Houlahan was elected into the house, and that’s the first-time women have ever held spots as PA delegates.
At Chrissy’s watch party, which was held at the Franklin Commons in Phoenixville, anxious eyes filled the room as it was finally announced that she had been elected as the representative of Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District.
