Holy Family School Presents: Bye Bye Birdie
Its about that time again! Holy Family School is putting on another play, and a little birdie told me you’re not gonna want to miss it!
In the 4th year of the Holy Family School Drama Club, they’re presenting the young performer’s edition of Bye Bye Birdie, a play set in 1958 about a rock star being drafted into the army, and a music corporation’s last shot to save the family business.
2nd Grade teacher and show director Daniel Kane is excited to work with the kids and help them to produce a quality performance they can all be proud of.
Daniel Kane states, “This is educational theater, so we do a lot of learning. The kids build the sets together with us, we teach them sound and lights, we teach them how to move the stuff on the stage. Everything that you see on stage is a product of them, but our goal has always been to have an educational experience for them to enjoy and be a part of a group and also appreciate what goes into theater.”
Opening night is this Friday the 18th at 7pm, with additional showings on the 19th, at both 3pm and 7pm. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the door or online at myholyfamilyschool.org.
