This New Year's Day Tradition May Get Postponed Because of Below Freezing Temperatures

Every January 1st heralds a special kind of tradition, but with below freezing temperatures predicted for the next 10-14 days it’s not looking good. The annual Black Rock Boat Club Water-skiing event may be postponed for just the 3rd since 1983! This is related to the closing of Cromby’s generating station in 2012 which helped by heating up the river water. Fingers crossed for warmer temperatures this week to ensure that this New Year’s festivity can still take place!
