Have you been in downtown Phoenixville lately? They are gearing up for yet another Phoenixville tradition, the Holiday Parade. This year’s parade with be the 11th Annual Kiwanis Holiday Parade to march down Bridge Street.
This year’s parade will take place on Friday, December 1st and gets started promptly at 7pm.
Each year the parade includes bands, service clubs, and floats. One of the highlights of of the parade is the decorated firetrucks. Each of our local fire companies take this annual competition for the best decorated fire truck very seriously and it’s a spectacle to behold.
As for the kids, they not only get to appreciate the parade, but are excited by the arrival of the big guy in the red suit, Santa Claus.
If you have ever attended this fun for the whole community event you know that the parade is just the lead up to the highlight of the night. Our community leaders, families and business people come together at the corner of Bridge and Main Street immediately following the parade for the lighting of our Christmas tree.
